New workshop for April 2025 - Romans in Britain
'The children had a wonderful time meeting Calista and Spiros. The resources and activities were fantastic. We got to see and hear real musical instruments, we learned about myths and were given great quality resources to make effective illustrations just like the ones that we were shown on Ancient Greek artefacts.'
Sharon Glew, year 3 teacher, Sacred Heart RC Primary, Paignton.
We at History Workshops Devon have a simple pricing structure offering, we believe, real value for money. The cost of a whole day's history workshop with two experienced qualified teachers and all resources provided is normally £300 - £330 depending upon the size of the school. We charge a mileage fee of 50p per mile to schools outside of a 15 mile radius of Torquay, where we are based. Note that the mileage allowance only applies after the 15 miles is reached.
Please book via the contact details below where we can discuss your needs and how the day would work at your school. We look forward to hearing from you!
Following our successful 2024 launch, we offer workshops covering the historical periods of the Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings and the newly created Romans in Britain.
We can accommodate 1-3 form entry schools. With the larger schools, a suitable member of the school staff will be required to deliver some of the content. You will be fully briefed in advance if this is the case. In terms of space, all we require is access to your school hall and a classroom.
Our workshops typically run from 9.15am to 2.45pm.
