New workshop for April 2025 - Romans in Britain
Take a voyage back with us to a time when Britain was at a crossroads in its development as a nation. The Roman Empire had collapsed and invaders were starting to settle in their thousands. This was a new chapter in British history. The Anglo-Saxons brought with them new ideas about farming, sailing, art and culture. Much later on, Viking raiders started to reshape the population of England and Scotland with the eventual integration of their own distinctive way of life, Britain would be changed forever. Join History Workshops Devon for a fun packed learning experience - the 'Dark Ages' it definitely is not!
As these two cultures co-existed within similar time-frames and geographical locations, there is some crossover in the activities offered. Please state at the time of booking whether you require an Anglo-Saxon or Viking themed workshop.
‘A Huge thanks for yesterday's Anglo-Saxon Day! I'm truly grateful for the bespoke approach you delivered to our school and the pacing of the exciting activities, allowing for our children to participate and remain engaged. We all had so much fun! What a fab way to end our topic’. Y5/6 classes
